Lifting and traversing units for “heavy duty” use
In the various applications in which a “heavy duty” use is re- quired (for a particularly large number of manoeuvres, a highly aggressive environment, very high temperatures, etc.), winches are the perfect lifting method. Our winches are ver y strong, relatively compact, and are the re- sult of our experience gained in extremely diversified industrial sectors; they are given constant attention by our technicians, whose aim is to constantly increase their performances. Unlike hoists, winches are equipped with parallel-axis lifting reduction gears and electric-hydraulic lifting shoe-brakes. All surfaces of the various components of the moving parts of the winch are processed by machine tool to guarantee perfect flatness. The winches are designed and produced internally except for the motors, reduction gears, brakes and electrical and electronic equipment, which are supplied by firms that are absolute leaders in the world in their sectors.
The lifting (up-down) winches move along traversing (right-left) trolleys, which gives them the name of winch-trucks.
The flanged lifting (up-down) hoists on traversing (right-left) trolleys are generally industrially mass-produced and are there- fore simpler, more compact and with fixed sizes and capacities, but this does not mean that they are of inferior quality com- pared with winches: simply by assessing the classical technical aspects, we see that the choice is equally good for all lifting and traversing units.
