Costelmec S.r.l. pays special attention to this sector, which may seem less important than others but is fundamental for a company’s industrial production in many different sectors.

This is why it produces wall- or pillar-mounted jib cranes, or column-mounted with standard or large base plate fixed direct- ly to the column floor (following specific criteria) to avoid the need for a foundation plinth. The arms of these cranes can be supplied in standard form with IPE or HEA profile beams with stays or self-standing with overhanging IPE or HEA profile beams without stays for a greater working lift with the possibili- ty of assembling hoist-trolleys equipped with electric (right-left) traverse, on both models.

If the traverse movement is not motorized, it is advisable to opt for jibs with shaped channel section with sliding hoist-carrier trolley inside it, since these are lighter and therefore easier for manual handling.Another excellent solution is “articulated” jibs, which are practical for overcoming fixed obstacles in the ope- rating zone of the jib crane. Jib cranes can be motorized on all movements including rotation, which may be up to 360°.

Jib cranes are normally supplied with electrical chain hoists. To complete the range of “light” lifting and transport equipment, we have monorails, suspended travelling cranes, portal cranes on “pirouetting” wheels, single and double girder jib cranes with small capacities and also equipped with electric chain trolley- hoists, and completely manual cranes and hoists. The low ca- pacity cranes and equipment can also be produced in flame- proof versions for environments with high risk of explosion.

Particular importance is given to cranes and monorails with hot galvanized or stainless steel carpentry for the food and dairy sectors, which may be equipped with totally grease-free electric strap hoists designed specifically for the food sector.
